Slight Increase In Registered Voters For ‘48 Primary– Lively competition for at least three county offices shapes up for fall elections. Incumbent Sen. J.B. Bourassa (D) is faced by former Sen. Sherd Wilcoxon (R), whom Bourassa defeated in 1944 by 26 votes.

Rep. Neil Taylor (R) will face Mons Tonjum (D), Ton jum was unsuccessful in his race for that office against Taylor in 1944.

The office of commissioner to be vacated soon by Roy B. Humbert, will be contested in the primaries on the Republican ticket with Gerritt Bekker and Thomas Throndson running for the nomination. The winner will meet Bennie Dahl (D) in the fall.

George Jones (R) is likely to be unopposed...
