Are they ruining major league baseball?

First, it was the visible strike zone box on TV broadcasts. We strongly disliked it at first but have become accustomed. Still undecided on like or not like.

Then, during Covid they started putting a runner on second base at each half inning beginning in the 10th inning. This, in hopes of cutting down some of the marathon, extra inning games. That rule was brought back in 2022. Maybe make sense, but we’re not crazy about it.

This year a pitch clock was implemented where the pitcher has 15 seconds to throw a pitch with bases empty and 20 seconds with a runner(s) on base. Hitters ...
