Daniels County Unemployment Rate Still Low

 

State Rate Is 4th Lowest In Nation

Daniels County continues to be at or near the top when it concerns the unemployment rate. The January report said the labor force was 895 people with 880 individuals on the job and earning a wage, meaning the unemployment rate was 1.7 percent. The only Montana county with a lower rate was Fallon County (Baker) at 1.6 percent, with a labor force of 1,670 – 1,643 employed and 27 not.

Governor Greg Gianforte announced Montana’s unemployment rate declined to 2.5 percent in January, matching the record low set in the governor’s second year in office, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Montana Department of Labor and Industry.
