Eggs have become expensive . . “Americans eat a lot of eggs. They consumed an average of 278 per person last year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.”

The wholesale price dropped 58¢ per dozen in midwest markets at the end of January, however it may take a while to see that kind of decrease in retail markets. Partly due to inflation on cost of feed, transportation and labor. And, according to the CDC, more than 58 million chickens have died or have been culled due to the latest round of avian flu, lethal in chickens. – bb
