HOCKEY — Go see him play while he is stillthisclosetous: Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada is about 160 highway miles from Scobey and has produced more National Hockey League players per capita than any city in the world. The next “big one” coming out of The Queen City is Connor Bedard, who plays for the Western Hockey League's Regina Pats. The North Vancouver native has scored 192 points in 105 games thus far with the Pats. He is the youngest player to ever score four goals in a game at the International Ice Hockey Federation's (IIHF) World Juniors, which he is currently playing in Moncton, New Brunwick Monday, December 19, 2022 through Monday, January 2, 2023. The 17-year-old Bedard is currently projected to be the next great phenom and number-one overall pick in the 61st annual NHL Entry Draft, which is expected to be held June 28-29, 2023 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee (TV: E...
