January-February–

1947 started out with the Scobey Saddle Club raising funds for the hospital in the form of a beauty queen contest, won by Edna Grove of Peerless.

February brought a treacherous, blinding blizzard with 30 below temperatures.

A representative of Montana- Dakota Utilities arrived to discuss the power situation of Scobey.

Meeting held for interest in forming a soil conservation district.

March–

City councilmen plan extension of water and sewer mains in city.
