MISCELLANEOUS — So cool! In the November 30, 2022 issue of the Glasgow Courier newspaper there was the Hi-Line Ford-sponsored Athletes of the Week feature. The recipient, rather the recipients, that week was Officials. Whether it is football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball or softball, there are Montana Official Association members monitoring the action (cross country, golf, track/field and hockey also have people monitoring the action, but most are not MOA folks but still have a job to do). Here's what was said in the advertisement: “These stewards of sports spend every minute of play on the court, mat, field, ice or diamond. Officials put in countless hours each season to ensure student athletes are able to compete on a level playing field, all while encouraging athletes and helping them learn the game.
