Mikel Lund, Daniels County Commissioner and farmer south of Scobey, sent this the other day. He said, “July 18th was the last recordable rain out here. It's been raining flys and bugs since, no grasshoppers." We're pretty sure there were plenty of grasshoppers, just that none made it into his rain gauge. (Since writing the above on 9/16/22, D.C. did get .0 up to .42" precipitation the next day!) -bb
