The neighboring Sheridan County News recently had a small paragraph in its “A little county history” column concerning the weather. It said Medicine Lake had the highest-ever temperature in the 20th century at 117 degrees on July 5, 1937. After that nasty northwest wind this area had to endure on Thursday, March 24, 117 degrees above Fahrenheit sounds pretty good right now! — mike
