proved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held

Tuesday, February 15, 2022

at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmen Seth Axtman, Scott Fishell, Jon Baker and Paul Landeraaen present.

Also, in attendance were John Leibrand, Sean Cromwell, Commissioner Mikel Lund, City Attorney Ben Fosland (8:36 a.m.) PWD Steve Berreth and Clerk Sonya M.

Southland.

Public Comment – Sean Cromwell spoke on behalf of the property owner regarding a claim submitted for sprinkler damage at 301 4th E stating, during the water main replacement project. A claim was submitted for reimbursement for repair work done to fix the sprinklers that were damaged. Discussion occurred.

Public Works Report

PWD Steve Berreth reported:

• the pool and baseball

fields are not metered – the cost of two-inch meters are about$700each.Councilman Landeraaen made the motion to purchase 2 two-inch meters for the pool and ballfield; seconded and passed.

•Sweeperwillbedelivered today

• Crew has been repairing garbage cans and stands

• Discussion occurred about the number of times some businesses are getting garbage picked in comparison to what they are being charged. Mayor Lekvold asked for a review of number

of pickups and charges. Upcoming agenda item.

Council Comment – Councilman Baker discussed trimming bushes/trees impeding the streets and alleyways.
