Lady Spartans Take Road Trip To Glendive, Try To Buck Broncs

Not only the Scobey Spartans girls’ basketball team but anybody else who has to face the North Country Mavericks, made up of players from schools in Saco, Whitewater and Hinsdale.

The Spartans (3-2, 176139, 35.2-27.8) played them Friday night in Hinsdale and were tripled-plus-one at 52-

17!

Things looked promising in the early going of the District 3C matchup when Whitley Maher’s 3-point field goal from the left wing gave the Spartans a 3-2 lead. Same thing when Daisy Hersel drilled a trey from the corner for a 6-5 Scobey advantage to open the scoring of the second quarter.
