Increase; Women Live

Longer, Report Shows– Last year was a disastrous period for the males in Daniels County. There were 24 deaths, of these 22 males.

The birth column also favored the "weaker sex". Girl babies numbered 51 in 1946 and boys trailed by half a dozen.

Statistics on domestic tranquility indicated considerable turbulence, as 17 divorces were granted, these troubled figures, were offset to some extent by 61 marriage licenses issued.

Corrections–

The article pertaining to Rescue wheat in the last issue erroneously labeled that type as rust-resistant.
