Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held

Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall. REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Danne Showers called the meeting to order with councilmen Morgan Lekvold, Scott Fishell, Paul Landeraaen and Jon Baker present. Also, in attendance were Fire ChiefWyattWilder, City Attorney Ben Fosland, PWDSteveBerrethandClerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Hearings - Mayor Showers opened the following hearings - Budget for 2021-2022; SID #18; SID #19; and Permissive Medical Levy –MayorShowersasked for comments concerning on each hearing. No written comments were submitted. Hearings were closed at 8:38.

Public Works –PWDSteve Berreth reported: • the final walk thru for phase 2 of the water project was last week with contractors, engineers and Rural Development – most of the asphalt will have to be redone due to cracking believed to be caused largely to timing with rain. This part of the project is still under warranty; phase 2 wasn’t required to use imported fill. Council discussed renting a skid steer sweeper to get the streets cleaned before winter. No word on repairs on the street sweeper.

• Reviewed estimate to chip seal all the paved streets – estimated cost of $653,955.02

• Water tower repairs, cleaning and new paint will be completed next week • Baseball field sprinkler system will be winterized and power shut off next week

• Pool will be winterized

• Sewer issues on Mill Street – one complaint
