Scobey Football Team

Best Since Champions

In 1928–

Scobey Spartans, showing the greatest wealth of material and ability to use it in years, enter the game against Poplar this coming Saturday with a record of no defeats and one-sided scores for the season.

The game at Poplar this Saturday will decide the district championship. Spartans hold a non-conference decision over the Indians as result of when Poplar played here in September and was defeated 14-6. That has little to do with what may happen this Saturday.

The local football team this year is clearly the best aggregation assembled here since 1928 when they won the district championship. It was the second year of football in Scobey, they played Glasgow, Wolf Point, Poplar and Plentywood that year.
