Bank Deposits Now
Tenfold Those of 1939–
Statements of Conditions of the two banks in Daniels County appear in this issue.
The figures tell a story of phenomenal growth compared to a half dozen years ago.
The Citizens State Bank of Scobey today has demand deposits of individual and corporations of more than two million dollars.
Deposits in 1939 were onetenth that amount. Cash and balances with other banks today is more than a million dollars, the 1939 figure was less than two hundred thousand.
