Stingrays Look Good In First Meet Of Season

 

A trio of High-Point winners, with two doing it for the first time ever, 13 indi vidual first-place finishes and a third-place team trophy out of eight teams qualifies as a very solid seasonal debut, doesn’t it?

The members of the Scobey Stingrays swim team are thinking “you betcha.”

The ‘Rays of head coach Tate Carney competed in their initial meet of the season last weekend (June 5-6) in Harlem and scored 474 points, trailing champion Big Sandy (668) and runnersup Chinook (611).

The High-Point winners were Avery Wolfe with three first-place finishes and Carter Lekvold with a pair of victories and a runnersup spot, with both competing in the 11-12 age...
