If Scobey Had Its Invite, State C Is Next On Agenda

 

The Scobey Invitational was held Monday, May 10, at the Scobey Golf Course, which simply means the State C Meet is the next agenda item for the Scobey Spartans who are taking two full teams.

The local event has been the last leg of the Montana High School Association regular-season spring tour in this corner of Montana for quite a long time, meaning the State C practice round is always just one week away on the following Monday.

Both Scobey squads placed second in the team standings this past Monday, with Plentywood winning the girls competition by 37 strokes while the MonDak boys claimed the title by 30 shots.

The Spartans of head coach John States and assistant coach Greg Hardy saw senior Sage Kilgore claim the runnersup spot with a 48-46—94, three strokes behind winner Paytyn Curtiss of Plentywood who went 45-46—91.
