Scobey 8th Girls Capture Second At Sidney Invite

 

The junior high Scobey Spartans competed in their third track and field meet of the season Friday, April 23, at the Sidney Invitational.

The Scobey 8th grade girls piled up some points by placing second with 61 while the 7th grade girls fin ished in 11th out of 16.

Some of the top placers for the Lady Spartans were: Kaytie Aanstad, first in shot put; Mady Willis, first in 200 hurdles and second in pole vault; Mya Green, second in 800 and 1600; Camrie Holum, second in 800.

Top finishers for the Scobey boys were: Asher Boze, fourth in 800; Clay Southland, fourth in pole vault; Bram Handran, fifth in shot put; Brecken Maher, fifth in pole vault; Konner Oller, fifth in 400.

At Sidney, the Scobey girls established 13 personal records while the Scobey boys set the bar higher 16 times. The Scobey junior high teams were scheduled to compete in the Culbertson Invitational Tuesday, April 27, and the Fairview Invite Thursday, April 29.
