Saddle Club Posts $275 For Race–

Incentive in the form of substantial cash prizes is being offered to encourage as many entries as possible in the long-distance saddle horse race sponsored by the Saddle Club of Scobey on Sunday, June 16.

Course of the race, will start at the racetrack and proceed southwest across the prairie, crossing the Poplar river and on to the west road passing north of Al Gimmestad’s place, continuing on straight west to the Johnny Wertz corner south of Four Buttes, south to Mons Tonjum’s, southeast to Vic Gilmore’s, east to Sherman Johnson’s, then north past the old Bonnes place, on to the Timmons corner, and then the course will be retraced into Scobey, making a total of thirty miles.
