Scobey Lil’ Roar Hoop Tourney Realizes Its Sixteenth Season

 

The Scobey Lil' Roar Basketball Tournament, sponsored by the Scobey Lions Club and Scobey Plainsmen, Inc., is back on track after not holding court in 2020 due to the flu.

The 16th annual event was held last weekend (April 16-18) in both gymnasiums at the Scobey School where 50 teams competed.

Crowned as the champions were: 4th grade girls, Mal ta Mamba (3-0, 104-17, 34.6-5.6); 4th grade boys, Malta Mustangs (3-0, 122-41, 40.6-13.8); 5th grade girls, North Country Mini Mavericks (3-0, 100-41, 33.3-13.8); 5th grade boys, Scobey Spartans (3-0, 171-57, 57.0-19.0); 6th grade girls, Scobey (3-1, 111-66, 27.7-16.5); 6th grade boys, Scobey Bluehawks (3-1, 204-150, 51.0-37.5); 7th grade girls (Circle Lady Cats, 3-0, 115-34, 38.3-11.3); 7th/8th grade boys, co-champions Glasgow Scotties (3-0, 165-105, 55.0-35.0) and Plentywood Wildcats (3-0, 16897, 56.0-32.3); Bainville (3-0, 118-84, 39.3-28.0).
