July 1 thru September 10. (Sept 17 thru Dec 31 next issue.) A week by week condensed form of the news as reported in the Leader during 2020.

JUNE–

June 4 Issue

A cool 38° was low and 84° high for the week. Pool opened June 1st. Graduates’ caps stayed within Plainsmen Field in spite of 25mph winds at outdoor ceremony. Ethan Anderson is on honors list at DSU in Dickinson, ND. “Moving On” party held for leaving Scobey faculty folk. Mayor’s Musings discusses sidewalk parking and hedge height.

Richardson Theatre delays opening due to COVID. The DC Centennial committee voted to postpone 100th celebration until July 2021. Pelicans abound at Whitetail Reservoir. DC Fair dates shortened - now July 16-18. Article on ‘following your family tree’.

June 11 Issue

June 5 had both the high of 80° and low 32°; .62 moisture during the week.

Invitational tourney hoop games to air on Nemont-TV. Dry Prairie Water Tank/ Tower is pictured. Waller Funeral Home demolishes house next to funeral home; is planning crematorium.

Primary election results printed. Firemen fight blaze north of Four Buttes on Ben and Casey Danelson land.

History of sand green golfcourses is featured.

Girls slow pitch softball teams are pictured. Phase II Scobey water main replacement to start about June 22; map shown. OHS honors the two graduating seniors.

June 18 Issue

The cool temp for the week was 37° with 91° recorded for high; also had .43 precipitation. Scobey Stingrays hosted four-team swim meet. “Harvest for Seniors” is new project. DMHC administrator accepts job in North Dakota. Timmons street paving progresses.

Unclaimed lottery prizes were sold at local bars. Obits for Billy Tryan who passed April 23, and Lilla Barsness who died June 13. Several locals make honor roll at MSU-Bozeman.
