Saturday's Game Here, Not In Wolf Point

The 2020-21 Scobey High School varsity boys’ basketball team picked up right where it left off last March and also in March of 2019 — winning! The Spartans didn’t have any trouble in week one of this season extending their three-season winning streak to 31 games — as of the Leader’s Tuesday 11:30 a.m. press deadline — when defeating the Mon-Dak Thunder 68-20, North Country Mavericks 60-44 and Glasgow Scotties 80- 26. Scobey (3-0, 208-90, 69.3-30.0), which hosted the Lustre Christian Lions (2-0, 127-69, 63.5-34.5) Tuesday, January 12, in a District 3C conference contest, travels to Nashua (1-1, 117-128, 58.5-64.0) Friday, January 15, for another 3C matchup scheduled to tipoff at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday the 16th the Class B Wolf Point Wolves (1-2, 162-185, 54.0-61.6) visit the Scobey School large gymnasium for a non-conference game set for 7 p.m. (all the printed schedules say this game is in Wolf Point but it is not, it is in Scobey and the February 13 matchup between these two is in Wolf Point). The Spartans took a quick 6-0 lead against Mon-Dak in its Tuesday, January 5, season opener at Westby High School as Parker Cromwell and Jayce Tande buried three-point field goals for a 6-0 lead.
