Maria Elena Carrier 1941-2020

Maria Elena Carrier, 79, of Scobey passed away December 17, 2020 at Daniels Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Maria Elena was born June 4, 1941 in San Jose, Costa Rica to Jose Piedra Gonzalez and Eida Piedra Naranjo Canas. She lived and graduated from high school in Moravia, Costa Rica.When she was 19 she met the love of her life, Marcel Carrier while he was on vacation in Costa Rica. After a brief engagement they married in Moravia Costa Rica on February 25, 1961. They returned to start their life together on the family farm north of Four Buttes where they farmed and ranched.
