Death Notice- Herbie Brandt

Herbert William Brandt, 52, of Peerless died at his home from natural causes January 19, 2022.  Services will be at a later date this year. Waller  Funeral Home of Scobey has charge of arrangements.

Daniels County Influenza And Covid-19 Update

 

As of mid-January, Influenza is circulating in Daniels County. Positive cases have included pre-school, school

age children and adults.

Normally our flu season in Daniels County begins in February or March. Last year there were no confirmed cases

in our county.

Covid-19 cases are also increasing and again in all age populations. Since July, Daniels County has had 124 positive covid cases reported with 102 unvaccinated (82.5%) and 22 vaccinated

(18.5%).

People at risk of developing severe COVID-19 can receive monoclonal antibodies to potentially prevent their infection from progressing. Of the 123 cases, 35 people or 28% received monoclonal

antibodies.

If you have not received an Influenza or COVID-19 Vaccination, there are still doses available. Please call 487-2313 to schedule an

appointment. For further information please call your healthcare provider.

As of January 18, 2022 Current Active Cases: 7 New Active Cases: 4 Newly Recovered: 3 Isolated At Home: 7 Currently Hospitalized: 0 Total Recovered: 312 Total Deaths: 9 Cumulative Cases: 328 Statewide cases skyrocketed to 3,924 new cases reported January 18; total active on that date at 13,476.

Support Food Bank At The Movie, Sunday

 

Daniels-Sheridan Federal Credit Union and Silver Star Insurance in Scobey are again paying for movie admission tickets for anyone who brings with them, to the movie, two canned goods or other non-perishable food items (per person). Everything collected will go to the Daniels County Food Bank. See their ad inside for more information.

Museum Annual Meeting Is Tuesday

 

Daniels County Museum Association will have its annual meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 25 in the Nemont Friendship Room at the Museum Visitor Center. Public is encouraged to attend.

HOSPITAL BOARD MEETS MONDAY

 

The Daniels Memorial Healthcare Center board of directors meeting is Monday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital conference room in Scobey. All board meetings are open to the public. Masks required.

Death Notice Gertrude Strand

 

Gertrude Ann Strand, 92, of Scobey died at Daniels Memorial Healthcare on January 12. Services will be

next summer.

Death Notice Ediger

 

Former Daniels County resident Barbara June Ediger, 87, died at her home in Helena, January 13.

A graveside service was at Daniels County Cemetery, Tuesday, January 18.

THE SCOBEY GYMNASTICS SHOW TEAM ….

 

THE SCOBEY GYMNASTICS SHOW TEAM was running, jumping, bending and flipping during halftime of the Wolf Point Wolves at Scobey Spartans boys’ basketball game Saturday night to the delight of the around 400 people. The Show Team is set to perform again tonight (Thursday, January 20) during halftime of the boys’ varsity contest so be in the gym by 8 p.m. and it won’t be missed. If for some reason one can’t attend tonight’s action against the Glasgow Scotties, the Show Team is scheduled to present its final home performance during halftime of the boys’ varsity game when the North Country Mavericks pay a visit on Friday, February 4.
